Scope & acceptance
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of thebreakouthack.co.uk (the “Site”) and purchases of our products or services via the Site (the “Service”). By accessing the Site or placing an order you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or place an order.
Platform provider
Our online store is hosted on Shopify. Shopify provides the e-commerce platform that enables us to sell products to you.
1. Who can use the Site
You confirm you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. If you are under 18 you may only use the Site with the permission of a parent or guardian.
2. Orders, pricing & VAT (important consumer rules)
2.1 Prices shown on the Site for consumers are displayed in GBP and include UK VAT where applicable. Delivery and any other charges will be shown at checkout. We will not add hidden mandatory fees at a later stage; all mandatory charges will be shown before you pay.
2.2 We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and, in the case of a manifest pricing error, to cancel an order (in which case you will be notified and refunded). Where a price error is corrected after you placed an order we will contact you and give you the option to reconfirm or cancel.
2.3 Payment is taken at the point of checkout unless otherwise stated. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout.
3. Availability & acceptance of orders
3.1 All orders are subject to acceptance by us. We may refuse or cancel orders for any reason, including suspected fraud or price errors. Where we must cancel an accepted order we will notify you and issue a full refund without undue delay.
3.2 We may limit quantities of products per person, household, billing address, or payment card.
4. Consumer cancellation & returns (UK consumers)
4.1 14-day cancellation right: If you are a consumer in the UK you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving a reason. The cancellation period begins the day after you (or a third party you nominate) receives the goods. This right applies to distance (online) sales under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
4.2 How to cancel: To exercise this right, notify us by email to hello@thebreakouthack.co.uk within the 14-day period.
4.3 Refunds after cancellation: If you cancel, we will refund all payments received, including standard delivery costs (if charged), within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return postage (whichever is earlier). You will be responsible for the reasonable cost of returning the goods, unless the goods are faulty or we state otherwise.
4.4 Exceptions & hygiene sealed goods: The right to cancel does not apply to sealed goods which are not suitable for return for hygiene or health reasons if unsealed after delivery (for example cosmetics where the hygiene seal is broken), perishable items or made-to-order goods. If an item is faulty, your statutory rights apply (see Section 8).
5. Delivery & risk
5.1 Delivery timescales are estimates only. Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery. Title to the goods remains with us until we receive payment in full.
6. Faulty goods & statutory rights
6.1 Your statutory rights as a consumer (for example, rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015) remain in force. If goods are faulty, you are entitled to remedies including repair, replacement, reduction in price, or refund where appropriate. Nothing in these Terms seeks to exclude or limit those statutory rights.
7. Returns for non-consumers / business buyers

8. Intellectual property & permitted use
8.1 All content on the Site (text, images, logos, designs) is our property or licensed to us. You may view and print pages for personal use only; you may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.
9. User content (comments, reviews, submissions)
9.1 If you submit comments, ideas, suggestions or other material to us, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, edit, publish, distribute and otherwise exploit that material in any medium. You must not submit content that infringes the rights of others or is unlawful.
10. Privacy, cookies & marketing (short pointer)
10.1 Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal data and sets out your rights. The Privacy Policy is available at https://thebreakouthack.co.uk/pages/privacy. We use cookies and similar technologies; non-essential cookies will only be set with your consent via our cookie preference tool. 
11. Third-party sites & links
We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from our Site. Use of those websites is at your own risk.
12. Limitation of liability & indemnity (consumer carve-out)
12.1 Statutory carve-out: Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. These Terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
12.2 For other losses, our liability is limited to the purchase price paid for the goods in question, except where otherwise required by law.
12.3 You agree to indemnify us against losses arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful conduct.
13. Termination & suspension
We may suspend or terminate access to the Site at our discretion (for example for suspected fraud or breach of these Terms). Termination will not affect accrued rights.
14. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, nothing in this clause affects your rights to bring proceedings in your local court where required by law.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most recent version is available on this page. If changes are material we will notify you.
