Five years ago, we launched tbh Skincare. A brand born from my own acne journey and built on a mission to create products that genuinely work, and a community where you feel seen, heard, and understood while using them.
As we prepare to take that mission global, we’ve made a bold decision:
we’re rebranding.
Here’s why. While gearing up for our international expansion, we ran into a trademark issue in the US. Our name, tbh, the biofilm hack, wasn’t going to be viable long-term. And while we could’ve kept our name in Australia and just changed it in new markets, that didn’t feel right. We wanted one name, one identity, one brand, no matter where you are in the world.
So we made the call to rebrand.
Introducing: the breakout hack
Same team. Same mission. Same formulas. Brand new name.
This wasn’t a decision we made lightly. We polled our community, worked with a research agency, and tested name options across Australia, the UK, and the US.
Rebranding is time-consuming, expensive, and scary. We had to invest over $500,000 upfront to transition every single product into new packaging. It was a huge risk, yet one I knew would eventually pay off. It was the right thing to do in order to take this community, and our message global.
From August, you’ll start seeing our new branding roll out across shelves, websites, and socials - starting in Australia!
We’re still everything tbh stood for, just with a name that gives us room to grow.
Thank you for being here, and supporting us along this journey, we couldn’t do it without you!
